There is a wide range of information available on the internet on drugs, alcohol and related issues. The websites listed below are recommended by Colchester Drug and Alcohol Reference group members as being particularly useful and reliable sources of advice and information.

It includes a series of FAQs, news page, list of doctors and experts and information on symptoms and withdrawal.
	www.re-solv.org The website of Re-Solv, the only national charity solely dedicated to the prevention of solvent and volatile substance abuse (VSA). Contains information for young people. parents and professionals.
	www.drugscope.org.uk The site of the Drugscope contains summaries of British laws, statistics and news reports on drugs. It has information about various drugs available in the UK as well as treatment developments and a drug encyclopædia. This is a rapidly extending site and has links to other sites. If you only ever visit one drug-related site, this is the one that you should go to.
	www.alcoholconcern.org.uk The home-page of alcohol concern. This is an extremely useful website and contains fact-sheets on many aspects of alcohol use. It contains pages on the recommended drinking levels. Find the alcohol ready-reckoner which is certainly useful in helping to accurately calculate alcohol units.
	www.wrecked.co.uk Health Promotion England’s website on alcohol. Gives information on safe drinking and reducing the risks of alcohol consumption.
	http://www.trashed.co.uk Health Promotion England’s website on drugs. Gives information on drugs, their origins, effects, the risks, the law and what to do in an emergency.
	www.doh.gov.uk/drugs/info.htm Department of Health website giving drug information. Includes links to downloadable leaflets and information.
	www.drugtext.org The main purpose of drugtext and drugtext foundation is the dissemination and production of information on substance use, addiction, harm reduction, international and national drug policy.
