Information for schoolsdrug user and community support project

This section of the website brings together information on drug and alcohol education and prevention that may be useful for teachers.

Most of this information is provided through a series of links to sites that are recommended by the Education Group of Colchester & Tendring Drug and Alcohol Reference Group. This is a group of local teachers and drug and alcohol education specialists which co-ordinates drug and alcohol education and prevention activities taking place in local schools and youth centres.

In addition, the section includes Key Stage 2 Lesson Plans that have been developed by CSN Consultancy, a local agency specialising in drug and alcohol education in schools. Although the plans have been designed to be particularly relevant to Years 5 and 6 in the primary school they do include suggestions for activities that are also appropriate for other age groups. For more information on the work of CSN contact: csn@globalnet.co.uk
